While Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, and Maci Bookout had asked MTV back in May to not allow her to re-join the show because of her dealings with the porn industry, Creator Lauren Dolgen explains to Us Weekly, “We had shot a couple of story lines and there is something about having that fourth story to counterbalance — there’s just a magic to four stories and four different points of view." Farrah's response to all this? “I think they were more or less saying that there was more to my story that they really felt was missing from the Teen Mom show, and I totally agree with them. I understand their point of view, and it was a funny situation to be in.”
Despite past tension between Farrah and her co-stars, Dolgen tells Us Weekly Farrah was "very open" to coming back for the Teen Mom spin off and also mentioned the other Teen Moms weren’t as okay with the change revealing, “[They] know that she's coming back, and it did create a little bit of controversy that will play out in the series."

She is a disgrace to the show... All the other moms are amazing and going in the right direction. .. why let a tramp come back to the show to mess it up > s gonna ruin it.... isn't it sapoossed to be a role model show.... she is no role model to abyone
