In the card given to Catelynn during her baby shower, her grandmother Mimi wrote, "I love you Cate, We will talk when you are ready... It's all good. Bless you and that baby. Life is too short not to be family"

During the Unseen Moment special with Dr. Drew, Catelynn reveals why she and grandmother Mimi are not on speaking term. According to reports via WetPaint, Catelynn tells Dr. Drew, “After I placed Carly, she wrote me a four page email about how I sold my child, and blood doesn't give away blood, and just rotten, rotten things, She's a very miserable, toxic person to be around.”After hearing Catelynn's story about grandmother Mimi, Farrah surprisingly weighed in with some really good advice, that even Dr. Drew seemed to agree with. “I feel like both you and Tyler should voice and say, ‘We received your card, but we didn't receive see an apology to move forward and that’s what we’re waiting for." Farrah explained.
