As some may know Teen Mom 3's Mackenzie Douthit was diagnosed with diabetes at the young age
of 12, and although she manages to keep herself healthy with a strict diet now that she's older, she

also admits there was other medications she was put on that she revealed in a recent blog post, that we never knew about it.

We learn from WetPaint that Mackenzie has written a blog post about her journey dealing with diabetes. And in the blog Mackenzie mentions before she found out she had diabetes, she had a learning disability that convinced her that she was mentally-challenged. Mackenzie also reveals how her teachers begged her mom to put her on lots of medicines, because she was slow and wasn't keeping up with other students. Listen to how Mackenzie profoundly goes into detail about her discovery having diabetes "My brain just did not function how it was supposed to (due to being an undiagnosed Diabetic) and I hated the fact that all my teachers begged my mom to put me on all this medicine saying I needed it because I was slow. They literally had me convinced I was mentally-challenged," Mackenzie explains. "I felt there was simply something wrong with me that no other student had wrong with them. I struggled daily with feeling outcast and alone and incompetent." Thankfully Mackenzie condition was discovered, and shortly after she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes we learn from reports that her brother passed away, which caused Mackenzie to go into a deep depression and was reportedly put on depression medicines.

We also learn that Mackenzie's depression got so bad and as she explained in the blog, she basically stopped caring for herself, but seems all that changed when she turned 16 and got pregnant. Mackenzie tells how her doctor gave her a stern warning about taking care of herself. "The doctor told me if I didn't get things under control my baby would die and I could die too. So I grew up quickly and learned how to take care of myself not just for me, but for HIM." Mackenzie writes. Although the tragic loss of her brother really took a toll on our mom, thankfully she listened to her doctor because not only was she jeopardizing her life but also her unborn child.
